Antique Shopping in Nashville

When most people hear the words ‘Nashville' the first thought that comes to mind is country music. While Nashville is world famous for its musical talent, many people are unaware of the unique antique shops located throughout the city. Unfortunately the word ‘antiques' seems to get used very liberally these days and most ‘Antique Shops' turn out to be little more than glorified garage sales.

However, as a native Nashvillian and antique dealer for nearly 25 years, I will provide you with a unique insight into the local antique scene. I promise you won't be disappointed when you visit our beautiful city.

Marymont Plantation Antiques & Interiors

Designers and collectors from across the country (including the renowned Albert Hadley and Bunny Williams) frequent this shop to peruse its stunning inventory, featuring rare 17th century Italian credenzas and artwork by Picasso and Andy Warhol.

The shop is arranged in beautiful, chic vignettes, and owner Kathy Fitzpatrick's impressive inventory dates from the 17th to the 20th centuries including impressive 18th century dining room chairs, garden antiques from the storied Château de Groussay outside Paris, pieces from the estate of Doris Duke and canvas panels from the Waldorf Astoria. Recently, Marymont was listed in Bunny Williams' book, Affair with a House, as one of the top 17 antique resources in the world and in Elle Décor as one of the best shops in Nashville. Kathy's shop should definitely be on your ‘must visit' list when coming to Nashville.
